When it comes to the speeches on your big day,you may want to consider
bride and groom wedding speeches together. For my wife and I,we didn’t want to
spoil the surprise by writing out our whole speeches simultaneously. But we
did discuss them, talk about the outline of our speeches and the direction we
wanted our wedding speech to go in.

When it comes to any kind of speech, whether the grooms wedding speech,
the bride speech, the father of the groom speech,or the maid of honour speech
it can really help to consult, compare ideas just to make sure there aren’t repeats
of similar ideas or topics. And this is why discussing bride and groom wedding
speech ideas with your partner is beneficial.

Ideas for your Groom’s Wedding Speech

Not all bride and grooms will do separate speeches.Perhaps only one of you is
doing a speech, usually the groom. One unique idea for a speech would be for
both of you to stand up and do the speech together.Another idea is to each
cover different topics.Chances are you will both have a few of the same ideas,
such as stories of how you met, dating experiences and things you’ve done
together. However, assuming you are both doing a wedding speech, another
option is to both cover the story of how you met – but from different points
of view. This technique can be really funny, your guests will love it and it will
make for a groom speech that will be remembered.

Writing bride and groom wedding speeches together isn’t always done. But,sharing some
ideas – while still keeping the wedding speeches private until the big day can
make it interesting. That is,of course, assuming you are both doing separate
speeches.

No matter which direction you decide to go with the bride and groom  wedding speeches,
make sure to have some type of outline.Check out some speech examples for
the best chance of success.

Funny Groom Wedding Speeches – A little humour can go a long way

One of the best ways for a successful groom wedding speech is to inject a little humour.
The start of your speech needs to grab your audiences attention. Now this approach
may not work for everyone, but I definately found it helped.I found that once you have
the guests laughing, everyone feels more comfortable. The whole speech doesn’t need
to be humorous but funny groom wedding speeches are a definite crowd-pleaser.

What to say for a humorous wedding speech

A little humor can go a long way, specifically adding a funny anecdote, quote about
marriage, joke or gag to your groom speech.Using a funny quotation from a famous
person in history regarding their thoughts on marriage can be amusing.

Even though I wanted to be funny,I still kept in mind that it had to be respectful. The
father of the bride had his own speech,so I wanted to thank him and interject some
heartfelt words into my groom wedding speech. You can take jokes too far,but I guarantee your bride will not like that,so make sure to keep them tasteful.

The use of humor in my speech was a great way to capture the audience’s attention
and keep them listening. From my experience, the best way to use this tactic is to be
honest, speak from the heart with some emotion and inject a little humor along the
way.I was pretty nervous and emotional,so this technique helped me,as much as it
was pleasing to the audience.

Another tip for a successfully funny groom wedding speech is to be informal and interact
with the audience. The groom should feel like he is having a conversation with old
friends, which largely will be the case. You may even want to make a few jokes about
the best man,as he will surely be making fun of you in the best man speech.

Groom Wedding Speech Examples to keep you on target

Groom Wedding speech examples are something that are extremely important in keeping
your speech on target.I wholeheartedly recommend using some type of outline
for your grooms wedding speech. These are especially beneficial if you have trouble getting
started, have writer’s block or lack direction with your wedding speech.

A Wedding Speech Sample is the best way to start

The great thing about most groom wedding speech samples is that they are designed to let
you fill in the blanks and still create a totally unique groom wedding speech. They usually
include an example setup, layout and prompts on things to say including:
-people you should thank
-stories you can tell
-the feelings of your big day
-groom speech jokes,quotes and anecdotes
-compliments for your bride
-ways of getting the audience involved
-how to toast the bridesmaids

Sticking to a rough speech layout will keep you from rambling on for too long.It
will ensure you stick to your key points, thank the proper people and guarantee
that your speech is unique and memorable.

If you’d like some groom wedding speech examples then I’d suggest searching the internet
like I did.You should be able to find an outline through examples of a groom wedding speech
that will show you understand the importance and significance of the occasion.

Groom Toasts – make sure to say the right thing

When it comes to keeping your bride and family happy on your big day -
forgetting to thank someone is one thing – but saying the wrong thing in
your groom toasts could be a real disaster.Whether it’s your toast or your
overall groom speech,it’s very important to say the right thing and not
step on any toes.Keep it simple by sticking to your outline.

What not to say in your groom wedding speech

One of the worse things you can do is to start talking about a previous
relationship. It might seem obvious, but believe me there are grooms that
actually do it.Even if you want to compare your new wife favorably,if she’s
anything like mine, she will not appreciate it.Remember, this is the most
important day of her life.

On this day, you should speak favorably of the bride at all times.Let your
guests see the joy your bride has brought into your life.Tell everyone you
feel like the luckiest man in the world.Though you may be tempted to add a
slightly teasing joke, this is not the right situation for it.In my grooms wedding
speech
,I stuck to what I knew my bride would want to hear, and it worked.
It’s definitely not the time for jokes or cheap sincerity.

Your Groom Wedding Speech – keeping your bride and family happy

The groom wedding speech is a very important part of your big day.Make sure to
introduce yourself and welcome everyone for coming. As the groom, part of your job is to
keep everyone happy and the groom toast and speech are an integral part of that.

Thanking The Right People

One of the first things I incorporated into my groom wedding speech was to thank anyone
who had got me to where I was on my wedding day.Make sure to thank your lovely
bride and you should also thank the brides parents for raising such a wonderful
daughter.Thank the important people involved in organizing your wedding and all
who gave you advice.Thank those who have traveled long distances.Thank the best
man and do not forget to thank the father of the bride after his speech. You
should also make sure to thank people on behalf of your wife,if she is not
making a speech.

Even though I had told the story many times before,I thought it best to start my groom’s
wedding speech with a story about how I met Tracy. This always goes over well, and is a
real crowd-pleaser for all those in attendance. And even if the story of how you met
your wife to be isn’t that interesting, many will want to hear about it on your
wedding day.

Mentioning Your Family

Next you may want to praise your family. After all, this is an important occasion
and your best chance to show the special people in your life how much they mean
to you.For me,even if they didn’t directly help with the wedding, they still
played an important part in my life as a whole. And so I thanked them for that.

Groom Wedding speech – final words

I always knew that when my fiance and I decided to get married I would have to write
a groom wedding speech, but I never realized how important groom speeches were to the overall event. The truth is it took me a long time to start actually writing my speech. The best advice I can give, would be to not put it off any longer.

Use an Outline to start writing that wedding speech

Now once I actually started writing I used speech prompts, guidelines and a
speech outlne. This definately helped by stimulating my creatve juices and urging me to
record my feelings and thoughts on our relationship.I made notes on how we met,our most
memorable moments and even of the things we have to look forward to together. It really
helped me to put into words the story of our relationship. From there,I was able to
form these stories into the main outline and create a memorable groom wedding speech.

Try to enjoy your wedding day

Remember, your wedding day is about the love for your bride, and it’s also about having
family and friends around to help with the celebration of that love. There is a lot of
work, organizing and finances that go into the planning of your wedding. But,you should
also try to have some fun along the way.Enjoy the day and the celebration and just
remember it is the beginning of your life together.
